GriefShare – sponsored in partnership with Fillmore Chapel UM Church. GriefShare will resume in February 2017 – More info will be posted as it becomes available.  This ministry is for persons who are grieving the loss of a loved one; all are welcome and group confidentiality is maintained by all participants.   Call the Church office at 716-751-6057 if you are interested in visiting the group or for more info.

Covenant Discipleship Groups – These are small groups of up to 7 people that meet every other week – Currently we have one group meeting every other Thursday Morning from 10 – 11am in the home of one of the group members. The other group is currently meeting at the church every other Monday from 6 – 7pm.  Call the church office at 716-751-6057 for  more info.   The meeting format is loosely patterned after John Wesley’s Class Meeting format.  The purpose of these groups is for members to share their experiences of living the Christian life, to encourage and pray for one another, and to help one another deal with the struggles we face as faithful followers of Jesus.

Bible Study – Wednesday mornings from 10 – 11:30am. This is an informal study group; everyone is welcome; prior experience with reading the Bible is not necessary. The format is simple; we select a book of the Bible to study, we read 1 or 2 chapters per meeting, we discuss the meaning of the passages as we go through them, and we consider how they can be applied to our lives today. Currently we are reading Paul’s Letter to the Romans. If you desire to grow in your Christian faith, these Bible studies are for you.

Disciple 1 Bible Study – Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm (except for the 2nd Tuesday of each month). This is a guided study giving participants an overview of the bible in its entirety. We begin September, 2016 and expect to finish mid summer, 2017.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry – We meet every other Monday evening to Glorify God and pray for the needs of individuals, of the Church, of the Community, of our Nation, and for the World.

Fellowship Outreach Dinners – (Sept. to June)  The first and Third Wednesdays of every month we invite the greater Wilson community to join us at 5pm for a free meal and fellowship. There is no cost or obligation to bring anything; just come as you are.  This is a fellowship ministry for everyone in the Wilson community that desires a good meal and conversation with people who care about others.

Kids Bible Club – Monday afternoons during the school year (Oct. to May) Exley hosts an early release Bible Club for the students of the Wilson Elementary School.  The diverse curriculum includes Bible stories for the younger children, and Bible lessons with practical teaching on Christ’s Golden Rule for older children, all with an emphasis on salvation in Jesus Christ.  Activities include crafts, singing, videos, and the children each receive a Bible if they do not have one.  Call Pastor John at 751-6057 if you would like more information.

Monthly Outreach Worship to the Newfane Rehab Facility – Every 1st Sunday of the month at 2pm we provide a full worship service with hymn singing and communion to the residents of the Newfane Facility.  Members of our congregation join in the service to glorify God and show loving kindness to the residents.  All are welcome to join us for this service.

Exley Choir – This is a group of 13 to 18 adults who gather weekly to provide music ministry.  The primary outreach of this ministry is to provide worship music for our regular Sunday services, an annual Christmas Cantata where we welcome singers from neighboring congregations, and to occasionally sing for residents at local nursing homes.

Quilting Ministry – This is a group of people who gather on Mondays from 9am to noon to make lap quilts.  Call the church office for more info.  The primary outreach of this ministry is to offer these lap quits  to local Hospice, hospital, and nursing home patients, giving them them a sense of God’s Love and comfort.  Every quilt is prayed over as it is made, seeking God’s grace, mercy, and healing for those who will receive these quilts.
